5 eco brands to support in November
No, not that it’s a month until the Christmas festivities begin.
But that Black Friday is nearly upon us. Are you prepared for the onslaught of pressure to buy, buy and buy some more?
Navigating this time of year can be tricky if you’re trying to live an eco-conscious life. The sale signs and online ads can be oh-so-tempting, even if you really don’t need anything new! Of course, buying items that you truly need at a discounted price is no bad thing. However, falling into the trap of purchasing for the sake of a low price tag isn’t so great for the planet.
Those are the items that too often sit gathering dust in our homes, destined for landfill.
This time round, why not support some sustainable brands instead? There are so many amazing businesses out there who are showing Mother Earth some serious love, whilst also creating products that you’ll enjoy. That way, you can make Black Friday that little bit greener! And, if you’re lucky, they might even have a little sale on too.
5 eco brands to support in November
Thought Clothing
From eco-friendly fibres and organic fabrics, to plant-derived materials and a circular ethos, Thought really have, erm, thought of it all! They make being conscious with your clothing easier than ever.
With women’s, men’s and even some kid’s items, they truly do have something for the whole family. The best part is that their slow fashion clothes are beautiful too. Unlike a lot of other ethical brands, they don’t shy away from bold prints and bright colours. Because “sustainability should be a joy”!
The Bright Co
Your pyjama drawer deserves some love!
With kiddie and adult sizes available, The Bright Co take sleepware to the next level, with ethically produced pieces that put design (and the planet) first. I also love that they offer many of the designs across sizes, so that you can match with your littles, if they’re still young enough to not think that’s “embarrassing”...
Ethique
The not so beautiful side of the cosmetics world is the waste that comes with it! Like us, Ethique is working to change that.
They offer conscious and concentrated solid products, from shampoo and conditioner to deodorant. As well as working hard to use as little packaging as possible, their highly effective products have saved 17.6 million litres of water. And they’ve planted more than 400,000 trees in the process!
What’s not to love?
Green Toys Store
